      How did the 3 hour diet help people lose weight?

      I read in the 2006 book "The Reality Diet" that just because you’re hungry every 3 hours doesn’t mean you’re in starvation mode it just means you’ve trained your body to be hungry every 3 hours. I’m confused how it works. If it works it seems to be for very disciplined people. I personally think its easier to burn off more calories than you take in when you just have three meals a day.

                I want to lose 20 pounds in 3 months?

                I plan on eating about 1200 calories a day and doing cardio 7 times a week for 30-60 minutes with some light weight training. I’m 23 female and weigh about 140 and really want to get down to 120. It’s been hard for me to find the motivation to start, so I’m hoping to be able to do this in 3 months. I’m just wondering if anyone can give me some suggestions or a meal and exercise plan to follow. I need something simple and easy to follow, please help!

                  why am i not losing weight?

                  im 13, 5 foot 6, 143 and female.
                  i eat anywhere from 1000-1500 calories a day. i don’t eat after supper, except on weekends. and on weekends i have more between 1500-2000. i eat a healthy breakfast, a white milk in school, then when i get home i have a snack. for a snack i usually have a piece of fruit, sometimes 2, and something else like yogurt. for supper i eat whatever my mom makes (which is usually pretty balanced, meat, veggies, and then some kind of carbs or whatever, like potatoes).

                  i don’t exercise that much at all. i have ballet 2ce a week, and i usually have gym in school at least once. i sometimes walk home, and my schools pretty big so walking from one class to another takes a few minutes. about 4 times a week i do some like, sit ups, push ups, lunges and stuff like that.

                  so, why am i not losing weight? should i exercise more? i have no motivation for that what so ever, and its not like i can go for a walk because its winter. i have a wii fit, and i try to do the run thing, but jogging in place gets so boring after 5 mins.
                  or should i change my diet?

                  also, i get usually around 6 hours of sleep on weekdays, usually 10 hours on weekends.
                  i just dont have the time to go to sleep earlier. and i drink at least 2L of water a day.
