Oh gosh please help.. I totally cheated on gym and diet? What do I do?
I love food, okay I’m crazzzzzzy about it. When I’m bored I eat food. That’s just how it is.
Now from the beginning of december I told myself that I would lose at least 10 pounds and continue on from there (this for the whole december. So it started out great, for 3 days in a row I exercised and diet, then I missed one day and I exercised for 2 more. Then I got huge blisters and I couldn’t exercise for 4 days. Then I exercised one more day but I couldn’t take it and missed 3 days. Then I exercised 1 day and missed another 3 days. Then I exercised for 2 days before the holidays started. Now its been 5 days that I’ve missed because I got really sick and I got blisters again, and during this time I had a lot of chocolate and I ate wrong ( I screwed up my diet). NOW I’M EXACTLY WHERE I WAS FROM THE BEGINNING, and I’m so frustrated! I don’t know what to do! I keep having problems because my method of exercise is the gym and it’s a little far (10 minute drive) especially now it’s winter too so the motivation there goes down, and I feel I’m just getting worse now… I mean at first it was good I was exercising 1 hour and a half on average on those days I exercise. What do I do? What I did was it really bad. I guess I only had likeee 700 calories worth of chocolate for the whole 5 days… but I’ve been consuming tangerines like crazy and eating at the wrong times *my diet is eat small healthy portions every 2 hours. What do I do and how can I prevent these problems from happening again? Thank you I really need some advice.
Keep in mind my parents drive me to the gym, I can’t always go as much as I want to because they could be busy, that was a reason why I missed the past 2 days.

Who disagrees with the diet book "Eat This, Not That?"?
I’ve flipped through the book "Eat This, Not That" by David Zinczenko, and I’ve found that while it’s interesting, it doesn’t offer any real advice. It seems silly…sure, a Big Mac may have a few less calories than a Whopper, but that doesn’t mean eating at McDonald’s is healthy. Certain foods may have more calories, but they can still be high in nutrients. Calories aren’t the only thing that matters when eating healthfully.
In several places he even contradicts himself; such as when he advocates Goldfish as healthy crackers, and then later says you shouldn’t get a pack of Goldfish from the vending machine. It’s the same snack! Goldfish are healthier than foods found in most vending machines.

Diet Books aimed specifically at lowering triglycerides?
My daughter needs to be on a triglyceride lowering diet for medical reasons. I’m having a lot of trouble trying to find a diet designed specifically for this end that lays out all the guidelines of what she can and cannot eat, how much, how often, and that includes recipes that follow those guidelines so that she can have a varied diet beyond a plain piece of broiled chicken every day. Her doctor recommends that she not go below 1600 calories/day, but that it is imperative her triglyceride levels be drastically reduced. Any suggestions?
